When You Feel Threatened

Posted by mjae on July 7, 2011 at 4:07 PM Comments comments (0)

In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come.

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

Risk It!

There are costs and risks to a program of action, but they are far less than the long range risks and costs of comfortable inaction . ~ John F Kennedy

--- Ray Blankenship looked out his window one morning to see a little girl being swept along in a rain-flooded drainage ditch beside his home. He knew that further downstream the ditch disappeared underneath the road and emptied into the main culvert. Nobody could survive that!

--- He raced along the side of the ditch trying to get ahead of the child. Finally, he hurled himself into the water. When he surfaced, he was able to grab her. The two tumbled head-over-heals, and then within three feet of the culvert, Ray's free hand felt something protruding from the bank - a tree limb! He clung to it desperately while the force of the water kept trying to tear him and the child away. Amazingly, by the time the fire department arrived, Ray had pulled her to safety.

--- As both were being treated for shock, it was discovered just how much of a hero Ray was: Ray Blankenship couldn't swim!

--- Today, let your courage respond to the needs you see, not the fear you feel. Go ahead, take that risk. Reach out and meet that need. Walk through that door of opportunity. Step over your fear. God is just waiting for you to do what you can, then He'll do for you what you can't. But nothing happens until you make that first move!

God's Abundant And Unmerited Favor

I got this message today in my email from JosephPrinceMinistries and I am sharing it with you all. Hope you are blessed by it.

...how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

(Romans 5:17, NIV)

-- Today, I want you to know that you don't have to live another day feeling insignificant or unimportant.

-- Nor do you have to spend another day striving for success, praise or approval.

-- God's abundant and unmerited favor is surrounding you today because of the finished work of Jesus Christ!

-- Knowing and receiving God's unmerited favor are so important to experiencing the victorious and abundant life you have in Christ. That's why, this summer we are declaring 100 Days Of Favor over your life.

-- For these 100 days, not only do I want you to fully realize that God's abundant favor is yours today, I also want you to be thoroughly immersed and saturated in that same favor—in fact, not just for 100 days, but for the rest of your life!

-- And the way to experience God's unmerited favor every single day is to believe that it's already yours—without you doing ANYTHING to deserve it.

-- So many people fall into the trap of chasing favor or trying to earn it, which ultimately leads nowhere and only produces heartache, frustration and disappointment.

-- My dearest friend, this is not God's way. God wants you to focus on Jesus and His love for you, shown through what He did for you on the cross. Why? Because that is the only thing that is unchanging, sure, secure and eternal. It goes beyond the fickle nature and uncertainty of the world. And it will do for you what your self-effort cannot.

-- His love and His favor on you are what God wants you to stay focused on.

-- The Bible tells us in Romans 5:17 (NIV) ...how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

-- Beloved, through Jesus' finished work at the cross, you've received His abundant provision of His grace and His free gift of righteousness to walk in an intimate and loving relationship with God, receiving His favor everywhere you go. That is how you reign in every area of your life!

-- Today, you can know with full assurance in your heart that Jesus loves you perfectly. He knows all your flaws and all your mistakes, yet He accepts you unconditionally and loves you perfectly.

-- When you begin to understand this, you will realize that it is truly unmerited favor from Jesus that you know you do not deserve, did not merit and cannot earn for yourself that will perfect every imperfection and weakness in your life.

-- Beloved, let's continue to turn away from our efforts and attempts to fix our external circumstances. I know that when you look only to Jesus, you will live in an abundance of His blessings and unmerited favor.

** Living in the free-flowing favor of God, **

P.S.
For the next 100 Days, I want you to expect, to earnestly look for the favor of God like never before.

Staying Optimistic (from SELAH)

Optimist: Person Who Travels on Nothing from Nowhere to Happiness ~Mark Twain

Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good. ~Romans 12:21

It's easy to be optimistic and upbeat when things are going well. The real challenge of living with a positive focus, is when life starts handing you problem after problem. It is much more of a struggle to remain optimistic when there are difficulties swirling around you. Yet that is the time when a positive outlook can make the biggest difference.

Staying optimistic in the midst of troubles does not mean that you should live in a state of denial, refusing to even acknowledge your problems. Rather, you must clearly see the problems and all their implications, and refuse to let them get you down. Then go beyond that, and look for how you can turn the negative into a positive.

In every difficulty, there is opportunity. In order to see that opportunity, you must look for it. That means looking clearly and objectively at the problem, free of self-pity or wishful thinking.

Listen: What You Refuse To Overcome Will Eventually Overcome You..

You can be optimistic, no matter what.

Don't Deny Your Problems, But Don't Let Them Deny You....

Father In heaven, I stand on the promise of Your word.. Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them, because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world. ~1 John 4:4 ....... I will stay Optimistic.. I will Stay Positive In Jesus Name. ~Amen.

This is pretty neat!
